A Quick Guide to Stuttering Assessment and Treatment in the Schools
This seminar is worth 3 contact hours and will be limited to 10 participants. The cost of attendance is $45. These contact hours may be used for ASHA and Ohio Board continuing education credits.
A description of the course follows:
Conducting stuttering assessment and treatment requires critical thinking, flexibility and nuanced decision making. Within the school setting, this process can become very challenging. The purpose of this seminar is to discuss the basics of stuttering therapy and how to help children in the school setting.
Identify basic procedures that are inherent to all stuttering assessments.
Conduct an assessment of speech fluency and discuss measures on how to treat.
Problem solve basic decisions about treatment through the use of case studies.
