Features

AccuTuck by AccuTx is an affordable and effective tool for Chin Tuck Against Resistance (CTAR) and Jaw Opening Against Resistance (JOAR) exercises. CTAR was developed as an alternative method to the Shaker exercise in a study conducted by Yoon et al. (2014). CTAR strengthens the suprahyoid muscles which improves hyolaryngeal elevation and excursion and UES opening without placing strain on the patient’s neck. AccuTuck was carefully developed to conform to the study’s specifications of ball diameter and type for replication of research results in the clinical setting.

AccuTuck has added features for enhanced functionality and comfort for the patient. The wrist strap attached to the ball facilitates accurate ball positioning under the patient’s chin and prevents dropping the ball during exercise. The clip can be used to attach the ball to furniture or clothing for a visual reminder to complete exercises. Many patients like to clip the ball to their shirt! The ball has a smooth, non-porous surface which can be easily cleaned and sanitized between uses. AccuTuck was designed to be given to individual patients for exercise completion during and outside of therapy sessions for maximum benefit.

Purchase of AccuTuck includes individually packaged ball, wrist strap, clip, instructions and patient exercise template for use in treatment sessions. For best results, we highly recommend that you use a hand pump so that you can fully inflate the therapy ball. As such, all new customers who order a 5-pack will receive a free ball pump.

There is also an option available (called "Patient-Pack") that includes hand pump along with a single ball and worksheets, which is ideal for a patient wanting to order AccuTuck for their own use.

PO Invoicing is available for larger orders. Contact us for more details!

If you haven’t ordered a 5-pack before, or your ball pump is lost or damaged, you can buy an additional one here.
